VOLUNTEER

United Paws of Tillamook is an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for volunteers to share their talents and energy. Please consider the following ways you might be able to help, and feel free to suggest a new way you might use your special talents.

Social Media Superstars

Who doesn’t love images of cats and kittens on the internet? If you love cats and are an avid social media user, we could use your help!  Whether posting our delightful kitties seeking forever homes, sharing important cat care tips or creating some buzz about an upcoming event, use your posting prowess to help United Paws reach out to thousands of potential adopters, donors and cat enthusiasts via Facebook, TikTok & more.

Interested to learn more? Drop us a line at volunteer@unitedpaws.org or message us on our Facebook page.

Photographers and Videographers

Handy at using that smart phone camera?  Love interacting with impossibly cute kittens and wonderful cats?

Come capture the photo/video that opens the door to a loving forever home for our adoptable kitties!

Whether you shoot with a smart phone or your digital Nikon or Canon, what matters most is capturing the marvelous personalities of these gorgeous felines.

Most often, it is an image that first grabs a potential adopter’s attention and draws them into reading more.  Once they learn how amazing that kitty really is, they hit the link to our Adoption Application!

If you have a few hours a week to spend with some special felines, please email us at volunteer@unitedpaws.org to learn more.

Adoption Application Screener

Each kitty who is rescued and becomes a United Paws foster becomes like a family member to our incredible team of people working to help them find that perfect new home.

We take their future safety and happiness very seriously, nowhere more so than in evaluating the applications to adopt them.

This position requires much more than just calling references and coordinating adoptions, it calls for someone with a “nose for people”. Someone who can visit with an applicant about their reasons for wanting to adopt, their home situation, their “ideal” new companion and in doing so form a “gut feeling” as to whether this person is going to be a responsible, dedicated, loving guardian for one (or more) of our kitties.

If you are a people person, and a cat lover, and would love to help find wonderful new homes for our fine felines, then by all means reach out to us at volunteer@unitedpaws.org. We look forward to meeting you!
